Our Obsidian Katana pairs a sleek, sharpened, jet black 1060 carbon steel blade with a golden colored, brass habaki. The 0.60 % carbon content allows the edge to take a fine polish while retaining enough spring to handle repeated light-cutting practice without chipping. A matte, woven-pattern saya protects the blade when sheathed. The saya includes a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap so the sword can be carried securely and stowed just as easily when you arrive.
